My students get a lot out of this exercise, whether undergrads or medical students. It really helps them understand how the body folds to go from gastrula to 3-D vertebrate!

As soon as I saw this, I couldn't wait to use it with my class! It really shows how 3 simple layers can turn into a complex organism.
It would be better to indicate that it requires a long-reach stapler to be able to accomidate the entire length of the paper. Also, it would be great to list some approximate lengths/distances for folds, staples.
