Search Help

How do I search the Archive?
There are numerous options for searching the Archive: Keyword Search, Advanced Search, and Drill-Down Listing. Each option can be found under the "Search the Archive" section, which is located at the top left of the page beneath the Archive banner. Alternatively, the keyword search box at the top right of the page can be used to conduct searches.

What is a Keyword Search?
A Keyword Search will make an exact case-insensitive match across all relevant data in three possible ways:

  1. The exact word(s) you enter in the exact sequence entered
  2. Multiple word(s) separated by "and" or commas to narrow your search
  3. To search for something with "and" or a comma, enclose the whole string in double quotes

What is an Advanced Search?
An Advanced Search allows you to specific values for all fields for the teaching resource. If you are unable to find what you want using this search method, please try the keyword search or drill-down listing.

What is a Drill-Down Listing?
A Drill-Down Listing allows you to view all teaching resources through discipline, learning resource type, or grade level. Please note that categories with over 1000 resources may take longer to load.

How can I find more items on the subject I want?
First, double-check your search parameters. If you have too narrowly defined your search, fewer items will be found. Also, check to see which educational levels are highlighted. Some items that could match your search parameters might be found at a higher or lower educational level than the one(s) you've specified. Also, you can try the Drill Down Listing to browse the resources. If you continue to have difficulty, please contact us for assistance.

Why isn't the resource I submitted listed in the Archive when I search?
Have you been notified that your resource was accepted? If not, then it is still in the review process and has not been released to the Archive yet. You will be notified via email when it becomes "active." If your item has been accepted and you don't see it, please contact us for assistance.

How can I find all of the items on which I'm an author that have been accepted to the Archive?
Click on the red "My Archive" button. Then select "My Submissions" from the drop-down menu. All items that you have submitted will be listed here.
